We’ve officially handed over our 400th home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate than New Ferry!
This first phase of the development includes 14 brand-new affordable flats, 11 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom homes, all delivered by M&Y Maintenance and Construction in partnership with The Regenda Group and let by Regenda Homes.
This site is all about people focussed homes, pride, and pies. Yes, pies!
Meet Paul, our Site Manager (and Tour Guide), who in our latest video took us on a tour of the finished homes and shares what makes this site so special.
As part of our commitment to giving back, the site team and our subcontractor AHS paid a visit to a local ballet school that was affected by the New Ferry explosion. The team even took the time to stop and test the new barre they were donating, joining for a quick ballet lesson!
The donation helped replace a ballet barre that was destroyed in the blast, and the visit brought a lot of smiles to the school. Read more here about our visit to Complete Works Performance School Ltd
Then there’s Griffiths Pie shop, a beloved local institution which was also damaged in the explosion. Making their comeback this month, the amazing ladies at Griffiths surprised our site team with a custom-made 400th celebration cake and pie. It was a heartfelt thank-you for the work being done to rebuild and support the area.
“This site has been a joy to work on. The community spirit, the partnerships, and the pride in what we’re building, it’s what M&Y is all about.” Paul Gardner, M&Y Maintenance and Construction Contracts Manager.
With more phases to come, we’re just getting started in New Ferry. But for now, we’re celebrating 400 homes, a few pirouettes, and some very well-earned pies!
