 One of the primary challenges is the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) designed for women, leading to safety risks.

We carry personal protective equipment (PPE) designed for women and all sizes at all of our construction sites. This is to make sure the PPE fits well, no matter who walks on site!

Changing societal attitudes

Women often encounter gender bias and discrimination, this could be doubts about their ability to outright harassment.

Representation in industry

The low percentage of women in construction means there are few role models and mentors for aspiring female professionals.

Our Managing director, Gill Kelly invests time in speaking in schools and colleges to reinforce this message. It’s important for young women to receive encouragement from their schools, colleges, friends and family to explore careers in construction if that’s something that interests them.

Supporting flexible working options

The demanding schedules and the physical nature of construction work can pose challenges for work-life balance, particularly for women who may also shoulder a disproportionate share of household work.
