We’re delighted to hand over our latest development, which saw us building more than just homes for a community in Preston.
We built 14 new homes on the brand new St Martins development, comprising five three-bedroom houses and nine two-bedroom apartments for Redwing. In addition to new homes, we also built a new chapel and community hall for Broughton Parish on the site on the site of the former St. Martin’s Parish Centre.
“I am so proud of each and every development we work on, but St Martins really has been special. Our construction team has been fully immersed in the local community, generating £26,000 in social value activity and using local labour where we could. I am delighted to see the completion of this incredible addition to the local community.”
Gill Kelly, Managing Director at M&Y Maintenance and Construction
Homes have been built to high environmental standards – air source heat pumps have been installed and apartments benefit from photovoltaic panels and KERS indoor heat pumps, which convert waste heat from within the homes into low-cost, renewable hot water. Electric vehicle charging points have been provided throughout.
Louise Nicholson, Branch Manager at Redwing, said:
“M&Y has delivered another stunning development for Redwing. These new properties use energy-efficient technology, reducing energy bills for residents and supporting our net-zero targets. We’re sure that residents will be very happy in their new homes.”

We bring more than bricks and mortar to developments – we embed ourselves in the community, working with local suppliers, residents, schools and more to bring something unique to a new scheme.
