“I believe the success of M&Y over the last 12 months is based on the principles of this quote – relentless humans, who I am honoured to lead.
“Another economically challenging year for all businesses in our sector, yet the relentless nature of my team ensured we not only survived we thrived. 2023 has brought so many wonderful achievements!
“The successful completion of a number of schemes, which needed salvaging after their previous contractors sadly went into liquidation, an ongoing trend over the last few years.
“This year saw M&Y begin building 175 new units and handed over 71 beautiful new homes across the North West.
“We have worked closely with our sister company Ecogee, who joined The Regenda Group earlier this year. As specialists in energy-efficient retrofit solutions, with 12+ years of experience, they’re helping us to strengthen our approach to sustainability and reduce fuel poverty for families across the North West while growing their turnover by 60% this year alone – remarkable!
“The M&Y Repairs and Maintenance, Voids, Mechanical and Electrical, Facilities Management and Planned Teams, delivered much-needed customer-centred services consistently, and despite an increased demand, we met our core targets.
“We’ve also secured further new contracts and strengthened partnerships with a number of Registered Providers across the North West.
“Both M&Y and Ecogee have recruited some fantastic new ‘relentless humans’ to join our teams. Enhancing our pool of talent, enthusiasm, skills, and experience across a range of front facing, management, strategic and support roles.
“And my favourite of all, we have generated over £1million in Social Value across communities in the North West in addition to supporting local charities like Centre 56, Petrus and The Brick with their Christmas appeals. We go to bed each night knowing our ‘relentless’ focus makes a positive change to people’s lives.
“Personally, I also achieved my dream job – I became a Nanna to a little boy called Benjamin, and he has my heart in his little chubby hand.
“I want to thank all of our dedicated and hard-working supply chain, who support and provide for M&Y every day, and to all our customers, who trust us to deliver services for you – it has truly been an honour!
