M&Y Constructing Communities with 210 homes across the North West

M&Y Maintenance and Construction is proud to be live on six sites building 210 homes across the North West. We know building communities means more than bricks and mortar, as a family run business we bring 40 years’ experience to each and every community we serve, ensuring lasting impact to local people and businesses in a way that is sustainable for our planet. And that’s exactly what we’re delivering to the neighbourhoods of Liverpool, Wirral, Wigan, West Derby and Cheshire.

“We are working through our busiest year yet at M&Y. We have six live construction sites, two of which are significant projects worth over £25m between them, a number of new contracts, new members of the team, a fresh new website and a fantastic buzz of energy around the sites and offices.”

Gill Kelly, Managing Director

Our six ongoing projects represent our commitment to constructing communities that resonate with comfort, functionality, and a sense of belonging – We pride ourselves on delivering excellence!

Parkfield Place, Liverpool

A vibrant community is taking shape with 39 affordable one and two-bedroom apartments on Aigburth Road, Liverpool, brought to life for Liverpool-based property company, Redwing.

M&Y was asked to step in and complete works to these apartments after the previous contractor went into administration. On removal of the brickwork, we identified that additional works were needed, and have installed a new masonry support system. In the new year, we will begin to weld secondary steel plate, bringing in roughly 10 tonnes of additional steel.

Breck Road, Wirral

In Wallasey, Wirral, we’re building 15 three-bedroom houses for Redwing. Homes will be available for Rent to Buy and will complete in Summer 2024.

M&Y were asked to step in and complete the works to these houses following the previous contractor went into administration. We’ve now completed rebuilding the concrete retaining wall on the site, with six of the 15 timber frames having been erected though there have been substantial repairs required.

Grove Street, Liverpool

A significant milestone in community development, our 89 homes at Grove Street cater to diverse needs—offering social rent, affordable rent, private rent, rent to buy, and outright sale. These 89 units across 4 blocks form phase 1 of a 304-unit development for The Regenda Group.

Piling has been completed to all four blocks and the foundations to the first two blocks are complete. We’re excited to start the erection of the steel frame before Christmas.

Shevington, Wigan

The first lift brickwork to the west wing is complete and the communal steel frame has been installed. The ground floor concrete slab is now complete to the east wing, with brickwork to commence before Christmas.

The four houses are now water-tight, with the apartment block progressing to the 2nd floor.
