M&Y Maintenance and Construction is delighted to share its successful appointment onto the Procurement Hub Damp and Mould Framework. By being appointed to Lot 3 of the framework, we will be able to deliver essential works across the North West and North Wales.
With a total value of up to £100 million over four years, this is one of the biggest frameworks of its kind. M&Y is proud to be a part of it. M&Y’s appointment comes from a reflection of what it does best: delivering high quality work with long standing partnerships and showing up for communities. M&Y scored highly in the quality section of the tender thanks to their proven track record and trusted framework partner reputation.
The framework has been developed in response to the increasing demand around improving damp and mould conditions in social housing, particularly with the upcoming introduction of Awaab’s Law in October 2025. This legislation sets a new legal obligation on housing providers to address damp and mould reports in an effective and timely manner.
M&Y’s appointment comes from a history of previous success, having scored well within the quality element of the tender, due to examples of long-term contracts delivering similar works and having a history of being valued members of other frameworks and demonstrating social value provided on other contracts.
M&Y will play a key role in improving tenant wellbeing across the North West and North Wales, ensuring homes across the region meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
Kevin Moses, Director of Operations at M&Y, said:
“Being appointed to this framework gives us the support we need to tackle damp and mould issues head-on, ensuring homes are safe, healthy and compliant with the upcoming changes under Awaab’s Law.
The appointment is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and expertise of our team, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver high-quality services. It’s a proud moment for M&Y and an endorsement of our commitment to improving lives and communities through safe, sustainable housing.”
