Ten years ago, M&Y was a growing contractor with ambition. Now we are a decade old Construction company.
Today, it has delivered one of the most significant regeneration projects in Liverpool city centre and hundreds of homes across the North West. But, alongside that, we have always been commitment to doing things differently.
Over the past decade, the business has built a diverse portfolio from community hubs, churches, complex apartment schemes to refurbishment and remediation projects. Everything is always lead with a strong focus on quality, collaboration and importantly Social Value.
Every build has always been about creating homes, creating opportunities for apprentices, opening doors for young people, encouraging women into the construction workforce and delivering real social value that goes beyond a box ticking exercise.
We are so proud of our teams for their willingness to take on new challenges, having a commitment to learning and improving and a firm belief that construction should make a positive difference to communities.
We asked our Managing Director Gill Kelly what building for 10 years means for M&Y Maintenance and Construction:
“We’re so delighted and proud. We’re not just about profit, we really do build to make a difference to lives and communities. Everything we do is about creating opportunity, whether that’s through the homes we build or the people we support along the way. We want to encourage young people into the sector because you don’t need to be from a certain background or a degree, or to be a certain gender to succeed – it’s about resilience, learning as you go, and having the courage to take that leap of faith.”
