M&Y Maintenance and Construction has joined Hive 100, a network of local businesses committed to supporting The Hive Youth Zone and the children and young people who use it.
Our relationship with The Hive has developed through the New Ferry regeneration, where we are delivering new affordable homes alongside wider investment in the local community.
Located close to the development, The Hive provides young people across Wirral with a safe and welcoming place to spend time, access a hot meal, take part in activities and receive support and mentorship.
As a Hive 100 member, M&Y has pledged £1,000 each year to help fund the youth zone’s ongoing programmes and services. We’re also working closely with The Hive team to deliver maintenance works and reconfigure parts of the building, helping ensure its spaces continue to meet the needs of the young people who use them every day.
The partnership forms part of our wider social value commitment at New Ferry. Working with our project partners and supply chain, we want the positive impact of the regeneration programme to extend beyond the homes being built and create opportunities across the surrounding community.
Hive 100 has brought together nearly 100 active business supporters and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help sustain The Hive’s work. We are proud to join that network and contribute to an organisation making a la sting difference for young people and families across Wirral.
