M&Y Maintenance and Construction is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a four-year Arboriculture (Tree Management) contract with Salix Homes, one of the leading housing providers in the Salford area.
This substantial £500,000 contract initially spans three years, with the option for a one-year extension, which, given our track record of exceptional performance, we anticipate extending to a four-year partnership in total. Our services were selected following a competitive bidding process, where we demonstrated M&Y’s unwavering commitment to excellence and expertise in the field.
The primary focus of this contract is to deliver comprehensive tree maintenance services across the Salix Homes neighborhoods in Salford. Our scope of work encompasses tree pruning, tree felling, and the clearance of trees, scrub, and hedgerows, including root removal. Furthermore, we will conduct thorough inspections of trees and provide risk ratings, furnishing Salix Homes with a comprehensive understanding of their estate’s tree assets.
In strict adherence to industry standards, M&Y provides detailed risk assessments and method statements for all work we undertake.
As part of our contract, we will employ chemical treatments to prevent regrowth, ensuring the preservation of the natural environment while facilitating small-scale planting initiatives, thereby contributing to the sustainable enhancement of the Salix Homes estate.
All tree works will comply with the British Standards for Tree Work Recommendations (BS3998:2010) and the Arboriculture and Forestry Advisory Group (AFAG) Guidelines, underscoring M&Y’s commitment to quality and safety.
