Our ESG Champion, Shannon Hutton, stepped away from her usual duties last week to deliver a very special careers session at her little girl’s nursery.
Shannon taught the little ones all about careers in construction, introducing them to the world of hard hats and building homes. The children had an absolute blast dressing up, enjoying activities, and even receiving some special gifts – all topped off with a chocolate treat!
The nursery staff shared their thoughts on the visit:
“What a lovely afternoon Swan’s have had today. One of our amazing parents kindly took their time to come in and talk about her job, bringing amazing activities and gifts for the children. They loved dressing up and finishing off with a chocolate treat. Thank you so much.”
Shannon shared: “It was lovely to take time out to talk to the children. If I managed to inspire just one of them or even open their minds to the brilliant world of working in Construction and Maintenance, then I’m happy.”
