We have reached the milestone of building 300 homes with our recent completion of Summerfield Close. A £5.1 million development consisting of a total of 22 new homes, constructed by M&Y Maintenance and Construction. Bringing a selection of much-needed high quality and affordable homes to the area.
Our first project was the Old Courthouse, a refurbishment providing 21 apartments based in Wallasey. Old Courthouse was then followed by developments like Bluebrook (19 homes), Albert Schweitzer (6 homes), Lighthouse View (72 homes) and Millbank (22 homes) all developments built in the North West of England.
As we grew from a St Helens business into a regional business, our teams grew and so did our ambition! Further projects quickly followed including Fleetwood down to Macclesfield and Across Oldham.
Our teams are amazing people who make things happen.
Our ambitious plans were reached thanks to key people brought on by M&Y as well as existing members of the team being promoted internally carving key milestones in our growth. Michael Court (Technical Manager), Paul Gardner (Contracts Manager), Alastair Mail (Head of Construction), Abbie Riley (Head of Business Support) and Tom Davies (Construction Administrator) just to name a few!
Gill Kelly, M&Y Maintenance and Construction Managing Director said:
“I am so proud of the team at M&Y, 300 homes! A huge thanks to our brilliant teams, supply chain and partnerships along the way. As well as building homes, we have worked hard to build a reputation alongside our work for being a constructor who is beyond buildings, we’re about communities. Reaching 300 homes and moving towards our 400th is fantastic news, it’s truly a testimony to the hard work of the M&Y team”
Next year is set to be another record-breaking year for M&Y with the commencement of Grove Street and Breck Road taking M&Y to our 400th and 500th properties by Christmas 2025.
Senior Site Manager M&Y Construction, Anthony Perry shared:
“Summerfield Close our new development, marks our 300th home, I for one am very very proud of what we’ve achieved here. We’ve worked hand in hand with Redwing and The Regenda Group as partners. Being in the community is a big part of what we do. Halfway through this project we invited a local school just down the road to come along and get an insight into what we do and how we build them. It was great, you can really see that it gives them such a unique insight and gets them thinking about if they would want to get involved in the construction industry.”
